Career highlights
Bob Winslow, based in Silicon Valley, has excelled in various senior executive communications roles. He advises tech CEOs and their leadership teams on strategic messaging, media engagement and crisis management. In addition to his own LLC, he is advising ServiceNow CEO Bill McDermott on his media engagements and is a senior leader for APCO Worldwide as a member of its International Advisory Council. His clients range from mega and large cap tech to pre-liquidity startups covering enterprise software, AI, the internet, fintech, semiconductor, Web3, cloud, and crypto.
Prior to his current roles, Bob ran global PR for Oracle where he was responsible for all aspects of the company’s communications working with Larry Ellison and co-CEOs Mark Hurd and Safra Catz. He is acknowledged for shifting the Oracle brand narrative to a cloud infrastructure and applications leader. While at Oracle, he focused on building key influencer relationships across policy, business, and media, and utilizing data & analytics for more effective and precise engagement with key audiences. Bob led crisis and issues communications for Oracle on all matters impacting the reputation of the company and its leadership. Before Oracle, he enjoyed a successful career at Omnicom where he launched the mobile first agency, Mobile Behavior; and, at FleishmanHillard where oversaw all strategy for industry sectors, practices, and intellectual property & products. In addition to running the firm’s global technology sector, he oversaw other sectors including healthcare, energy, consumer, public, financial, manufacturing and food, beverage & agriculture. He led the global effort to certify all FH counselors in a consistent approach to issues and crisis management. He personally advised several customer CEOs through crisis and issues ranging from shareholder activism to personal life-threatening health experiences to diversity in workforce. Bob advised global brands such as SAP, Huawei, AT&T, Tencent, Samsung, Google, Visa, HP, and Salesforce in this role. Prior to FH, he was president of North America for global agency Text100, where he advised IBM, Xerox, and others. Earlier in his career and coming off a successful sales tenure at IBM, he moved into VC backed tech startup roles guiding founders and their business through global expansion and liquidity events.
Bob is a big advocate for truth and facts in journalism and leverages his personal relationships with tier one media such as CNBC, Bloomberg, Fortune, Forbes, Axios, Politico, the WSJ, the NYT, Business Insider, The Information, plus other independent tech reporters including Stratechery, Newcomer, Big Technology and others to get customer stories right and into the proper channels.
